It’s happening, it’s timeless, and it’s going to ask very little of you, other than to support your local restaurants, farmers markets, retailers of radicchio, and anyone inbetween.
Show some love to your radicchio community by playing CHICORY WEEK BINGO! BINGO officially begins on Monday, October 18, as we kick off Chicory Week, but we’re celebrating all winter long.
All you have to do:
download, print, or pick up a physical Bingo Card - here’s the PDF!
head to your neighborhood restaurants and order local radicchio for dine-in or takeout
buy radicchio or chicories from a farmers market, farmstand, or grocery store carrying radicchio grown in your area
educate yourself and/or others in the ways of radicchio, appreciate radicchio art, or get creative (and tell us about it!)
note the date and the dish or chicory that you got and mark it off on your Bingo card where appropriate!
PRIZES:
The first two people to get a BINGO (5 in a row!) get a $50 gift card to a local restaurant of their choice!
The first person to get BLACKOUT (all the squares, baby!) gets a $100 gift card to a local restaurant of their choice, swag, and bragging rights!
All other BINGO winners get radicchio swag, until we run out!
RULES of PLAY:
This is an HONOR SYSTEM. We ask that you send us a picture or screenshot of your Bingo Card, with some details and explanation about how you filled in those squares—i.e., “got radicchio salad at Delancey” or “bought head of radicchio from Steel Wheel Farm at Capitol Hill Farmer’s Market,” or “cooked radicchio-apple-cauliflower salad and watched the corresponding RadTV cooking video” (<< that could get two boxes checked off your BINGO card!). Tag us on Insta @chicoryweek and we’ll share your chicory victory and shoutout the farms, restaurants, or markets associated with your success!
